Hi guys! If you follow me on Bloglovin' you'll have realised that I've started a new blog after a break. I'm sorry that I haven't told you in here, but I've just been so busy with the new blog. I hope you'll check it out.
Hi guys! I know I've been kind of AWOL lately. I'm sorry. I've been real busy with school and to be honest I haven't really known what to write about so I'm gonna keep it simple. Even though there's a lot school work at the moment a girl still have her favourite obsessions, however long they last. So I thought I would share with you my recent ones.
This wasn't really planned as a favourites post, but I realised that I have been using the same perfume and lipstick for a while. So the first thing is the perfume I've been loving at the moment. It was a Christmas gift and it is the Michael Kors Glam Jasmine. Now I don't use the lipgloss but the small bottle is handy especially on vacation. As goes for lipstick, also a Christmas gift, my Rouge Dior in Rare Amber. I love this color because it's red without being too red, if you know what I mean. It's almost a bit orange. Next is my all time favourite nail polish. It's the Oh My Gosh in the colour 006. Again an orange-red colour.
Then there's the last thing which I think is really cute. It's a small wallet. When I saw this I had to buy it. And you might think this is silly, but I use it for my earplugs. I always bring them to school and they always end up being squashed by my heavy books and then I pull until they are ruined. So instead of keep buying new ones I'm trying this cute no pulling option. Even though my sister said "Good luck remembering to put them in there every time!" But at least I always know where they are.
The next thing is my new favourite pair of shoes. I've mention these on my wishlist a month back or so. And then I finally found a pair on vacation, and yes they are already my favourite pair of shoes! They're from a shop called San Marina, if you want to check them out.
And the last thing is my current obsession with Drop Dead Diva. I'm serious, if you haven't seen it, do. It's so much fun. I literally spent all Saturday watching it, even though I should have been doing homework. Oops. It's about this really skinny and egoistic girl who dies and then ends up in another body. Only know she isn't skinny anymore so she has to learn how to treat people better.
So what are your current obsessions? Do you have any tv-shows you watch, even though you have homework? Or maybe a favourite spring nail polish? Let me know in the comments!
Hi guys! I will attempt to do something I have never done before. I will make a hair tutorial! I do realise that it might be a bit easier doing a video, but I don't have my film equipment with me on vacation, so I'm trying to do this instead. Btw. if I look a bit red, it's just because I've been out in the sun all day. Might actually get a tan from this vacation if I'm lucky. But back to the tutorial!
I bought an undo set from Claire's called "Gibson Girl". And not surprisingly the hairstyle is called the same. So yeah, I learned the name of a new undo today. If you don't live near a Claire's you can get one here at their online store. It included a kind of hairband that reminded me of the hair donut. You know the one you use for buns. There was also some bobby pins and then you'll also need a hair elastic.
Start by sectioning your hair in two. You tie the top half on the top of your head in a bun. It doesn't matter how it looks, we're gonna take it down later. It's just to keep it out of our way. Place the headband on your head. I did it just where I sectioned my hair so that the part was hidden. And yes you will look ridiculous for a short amount of time, but don't worry we'll fix it.
Next step is rolling your hair around the headband. It's the same principle as when you do it with a floral headband, which has been in style for a couple of years. But this time you have to start at the front and work your way to the sides. Take small pieces. That will help you make sure you have enough hair. You might have to roll the hair around the hairband more than once, depending on the length of your hair. It can be a good idea to bobby pin som of the hair just under the headband so it doesn't move and show the headband.
Okay now you have rolled all the hair around the headband. Also in the back. Next step is to take the ridiculous bun, which I promised we would fix, down. Make it a ponytail instead. Loosen it up in the back. Try to put it at the top/middle of your head.
Now the last step is bobby pinning. I don't have a picture of this because it's very hard to show on a picture. And pretty much every girl knows how to use a bobby pin. A little tip though. If you have long hair try to wrap the hair around your finger so you get a little curl. Then pin it down like that. Mess it around until you like it. And try to make your hair as big as possible so that it looks like your headband of hair starts the bun on top of your head. Especially pin the front hair close to the headband.
Now hopefully you have something like this. If you don't think it's messy around just wait a bit of time. I went for a walk and it looked so much more messy afterwards, which I really like. If I was bad at explaining then there is a very short instruction on the box, I just thought I would show you guys. I don't know what you could otherwise use if you don't want to spend money on the hairband. Maybe you can make one yourself out of a hair donut? I don't know. Let me know if anyone is good enough at DYI to make one!
Seen from the back.
And from the kind of side.
So what do you think? I'm definitely going to wear this another time. Also let me know how you like this kind of posts. Do they help or give your inspiration or should I try filming it next time? Please let me know!
Hey guys! Today I really felt like doing a post about backpacks. Personally the only backpack I own, is the one I use for school. I did notice Cara Delevigne's collection with Mulberry some while ago. If you haven't seen it, check it out, it's really cool. But unfortunately it's out of my price range. And to be honest I actually never seriously thought about using a backpack as a purse. It was actually Zoella who got me to reconsider, when I saw her travel essentials video. But then I went on a minor citytrip last monday and saw a few of them, and I thought to myself "I need one of those". I didn't buy one even though I really wanted to. Mostly because I wanted to browse online first. And since I got so obsessed myself, I thought I would show you, with the chance that you already know that a backpack can be used outside school and look really cute.
